Yes, Its possible.  Your surgeon should be able to talk you through it over the phone.  Its possible with patients who engage in heavy physical activity.  Although this is highly unlikely to happen. 

Yes, you may be able to manually flip the implant yourself. I have heard of patients having this before and they have been able to flip it back.
