What are my best options for fixing this loose skin and double chin? Would CoolSculpting make the skin worse? I really don’t want surgery unless there are no other options. Thank you in advance.
Answer: Options Hello,Thank you for your question. Based on what can be seen it appears that you may have a couple options. CoolSculpting can help reduce the fat under the chin, but it does not specifically fix the loose skin. You may need to treat with a combination of treatments. Ulthera and Thermi can help tighten the skin and contour the area under the chin. Please consult with a local physician in person to determine the best course of action. Good luck!

Answer: Coolsculpting works best on double chins fat necks not inelastic skin Sundamage causes inelasticity and when there is not much fat, and the neck flexes (head bends down) the skin folds on itself. This is not improved with CoolSculpting nor even completely with a surgical neck lift. Some fat reduction is in order in the pocket of excess fat under the chin and this can be done with CoolSculpting (coomini) but the rest of the neck's inelasticity won't be addressed. Possibly Ultherapy, or Infini microneedling, or minimally invasive ThermiTight can help tighten the skin but non of those will create the same amount of tightening that a neck lift will accomplish. The information provided in Dr. Shelton's answer is for educational purposes only and is not intended to constitute medical advice. Answer: Best Option for Loose Double Chin? ThermiTight Is Best Nonsurgical Necklift A sagging neck is one of the most difficult issues to treat because the skin is so thin and doesn’t really attach to the underlying platysmal muscles. In your case, I’d recommend the next best thing to a surgical neck lift, which is ThermiTight. ThermiTight — particularly when combined with chin liposuction to remove your double chin (a process we call ThermiSculpture) — does a great job of tightening minimally sagging skin and creating a stronger looking jawline with radiofrequency energy delivered by a skin probe. Be sure to consult a board-certified dermatologist who’s an expert at contouring the neck and jaw with ThermiSculpture.

Answer: Is Coolsculpt the treatment for you? Hello,Based on your photos, it seems as though a skin tightening treatment may be a better option for you. Coolsculpt is great for minimizing areas of fat. It looks like your concern is more so the skin laxity. There are non invasive and minimally invasive skin tightening treatments that would better address your concern, such as Ultherapy or Profound. I suggest consulting with your local service provider to set up a treatment plan that will best fit your needs. Good luck.
