Type One Diabetes as a potential Risk Factor in Breast Reduction - how risky is this?

R.Knight06
Dear Doctors! I am a 21 year old patient, ready for breast reduction surgery. I have had type 1 diabetes since i was 3 years old. I know any major surgeries are riskier as a diabetic, but I would like to ask for several professional opinions about how risky would this surgery be for me specifically. Helath overview: > my blood sugar levels fluctuate as i am going throught hormonal changes, but majority of the time remain between 5-15 ( europian way of measuring) > my hemoglobinA1C was 7,2 6 months ago, when last measured, and it have been in the 6,4-7,5 intervall for the past 6-7 years > I have never smoked or did any type of drug >I have low iron levels, but my doctor told me it is not at a concerning level, however I still take suppliments to be safe > I eat well, I dont sleep or excercise as well because of a busy lifestyle >Ive never been obese, I have been a bit chubby at 15, when i have lost 10kg through exercise and strict diet, here i went from E cup to D > I tend to have low blood pressure, but it was never something dpctors have pointed out Please, tell me your opinion, how risky would this surgery be for me? I am very scared of bleeding out, or dealing with any aftermath that is life threatening. I also dont want to deal with any keloids when it comes to scarring. I aim to have B cup, would that even be possible? And lastly, how can I ensure I find the most relyable surgeon? Thank you so much for your kind help and time! R.
