Hello i did breast reduction surgery befor 2.5 years i had open wound that affect my scar it was big wound that took so much time to heal my doctor recomand me to do scar revision another doctor told me to go for another redction surgery so now i am confused does the scar revision on my case can realy be success or it would open my wound again because i realy want to gi just for scar revision

I am unsure of the etiology of your scar widening, but I would recommend and entire incisional patten scar revision with very close supervision in the post operative period. There is a chance that you could react to the suture work the same way you did before, but I believe a revision would be worth your time.

Thanks for your question. After extensive scarring, the breast skin around the breast tissue will be quite tight. If you plan on excising the scar, you will eventually need to remove/reduce the breast tissue to allow the skin to close. So yes, you will end up with slightly smaller breasts.

it is hard to tell for sure without an examination. Based on your photo, it looks like you can try scar revision. If you are considering surgery, I would suggest you consult a board-certified plastic surgeon. Only after a thorough examination, you will get more information and recommendations.

Based on the post photos, more information is needed as to why the wound opened and had an infection. Best of virtual consult with. But best is a reduction combo, scar vision with the understanding that it may take more than one surgery. Again best to do a virtual consultation to fully understand your options.
