I haven't been able to sleep in my bed and I'm 9 days post op with a breast lift and implants. When laying down flat or slightly elevated I get terrible pain when I try to move from that position. The recliner makes the pain bearable but I want my bed back. What could be causing this and how can I fix it please? Thank you
Answer: What is causing you pain laying down 10 days post-op? Sitting up from laying flat can be a daunting task following breast augmentation. As long as that discomfort lessens each day, you are more than likely headed in the right direction. If your pain isn't getting better, I would suggest seeing your plastic surgeon. Good luck!

Answer: Post Op Pain Although I know it's frustrating to not be able to get comfortable in your bed, it sounds as if lying flat is the problem. Have you tried sleeping with your upper back elevated? There is always some pain and discomfort post surgery. However, if you feel that yours isn't improving, I would advise that you schedule an appointment with your operating surgeon to discuss.

Answer: Pain in breasts while lying down on mattress I appreciate your question. While pain, swelling, and discomfort can all occur after surgery, since there has been a change in your post operative course best to follow up with your surgeon so he/she can examine you and recommend best and most safe treatment plan. The best way to assess and give true advice would be an in-person exam. Please see a board-certified plastic surgeon that specializes in aesthetic and restorative breast surgery. best of luck! Answer: Post op pain after breast augmentation Hi,Thanks for posting your question. I am happy to try and help you. It is important to remember that a board certified plastic surgeon will be your best resource when it comes to an accurate assessment of your situation, and concerns. Having said that, I am sorry to learn about your pain. It seems like you are having some nerve pain and maybe some muscle spasm. Sometimes after the surgery the patient does not move around a lot and things start to get tight and stiff. When this happens, there can be some aches. So really work on moving around, lifting your arms up and move the arms around. As for the positional pain, it could be nerve related and when the breast implants slides and hits the nerve it can cause a shooting pain towards your breast or even into your back. So do not worry, all of these pains will go away. If you feel something is wrong, you should absolutely call your PS.I hope you found this helpful. Have a great day.
