So i did my BA a week ago I've recieved 280 cc's of round textured silicone, they feel really firm and unnatural it's really worrying me, should i massage them ? Although my PS said i'm not supposed to massage them, the firmness is bothering me a lot they don't look or feal natural at all i used to be a 34A, is it to firm and fake because i ddnt have much tissue to cover the implants ? Also is there anything i could do to soften em up abit ?
Answer: Isn't massaging necessary A sizing is not necessary for all individuals undergoing breast augmentation. Often, the surgeon will consider this on a patient to patient basis and may depend on all aspects of one's surgery. At one weeks time one would expect swelling and firmness although for sure this eventually will subside. Discuss your concerns with your surgeon.

Answer: My PS told me not to massage my implants ! Isn't massaging necessary ? I appreciate your question. You are still very early on in the post operative period. I have my patients begin to massage around 2-3 weeks. It will take 3-6 months for you to feel comfortable having implants in your body and for them to settle. For any immediate questions/concerns, please follow up with Operating MD.The best way to assess and give true advice would be an in-person exam. Please see a board-certified plastic surgeon that specializes in aesthetic and restorative breast surgery.best of luck!Dr Schwartz

Answer: No post op massage Hello,It is quite normal and expected for the breasts to feel hard and swollen for roughly 2 weeks post op. Firmness can last a few months until inflammation settles down and tissues soften, allowing drop and fluff. Textured implants tend not to drop as much but they will soften. My patients do not routinely do post-operative massage. Massage usually starts one week after surgery, when everything is still raw inside. Massage may actually increase the risk of bleeding and, therefore, capsular contracture. Follow your Plastic Surgeon's advice and try to be patient with the process. All the best

Answer: My PS told me not to massage my implants ! Isn't massaging necessary ? Thank you for your excellent question. As you are recently out from surgery, your current breast description sounds appropriate for the stage of healing. Your breasts are still swollen, your muscles tight, and your soft tissues have not yet gotten accustomed to the increased volume of the implants. I do not feel massaging is necessary with your implants, and allowing enough time to pass will yield you the more natural results you are expecting. Hang in there!
