I would definitely be more careful in the future after a chemical peel since your skin is more sensitive and you are not supposed to be in the sun afterwards. I would consult your treating physician for assessment and guidance at this point and perhaps they will prescribe a burn cream for you like Silvadene cream if it is bad. Best, Dr. Green
After chemical peels it is absolutely necessary to stay out of the sun. The peels make you more sun sensitive and you can easily damage your skin during this time. Using tons of sunscreen and moisturizer will help heal your skin and perhaps a little cortisone to reduce some inflammation. If you have any concerns or your skin is not healing properly I would consult the physician you saw for your treatment. Best,Alex Khadavi M.D.
