What are my options are for my damaged skin 4 weeks after Infini RF possibly with the wrong settings and removing the handpiece from the skin too swiftly? The doctor recommended an over the counter burn cream which has shown no results and says to wait and see and do a peel in a few weeks. The track marks look like scars to me and are red, my face often flushes (no brown hyperpigmentation). Unfortunately the doctor has a degree in internal medicine and not dermatology. Please help! Thank you!
Answer: Infini and skin reaction At 4 weeks , your skin is still healing and inflammation is still present. Over 6 months, the tracks and infinity marks will subside. I would see your dermatologist to add a steroid cream or other scar cream to enhance the healing. If there are issues at 6 months, the fraxel or clear laser will help.

Answer: Fractional lasers. As Dr Lim has suggested this course of treatments can reduce the grids from Infini RF. I normally recommend treatment at 3-4 months if the grids are still present. The use of LED such as HealLite can also help with the healing process. Dr Isobel Walker. Fiori Institute. Brisbane. Australia.

Answer: Prolonged healing after poorly performed Infini I think you probably will heal fine. I would treat at this point with the VBeam or Excel V. This will reduce redness and heal any early scars. I would also use Retin A and a growth factor cream. Hydroquinone will help prevent hyperpigmentation. Consider laser resurfacing if the grid marks still are present with Fraxel Dual.

Answer: Infini redness and track marks Hi There-- proper Infini technique requires a pause while the needles go into the dermis, deliver the RF pulse and then retract. This results in a ball of coagulation in the dermis while not damaging the epidermis. This way, you can get massive collagen stimulation in the dermis without the extended downtime from the epidermal healing you have with fractional lasers. If you pull up too soon, you will get a column of damage instead of a ball. Healing will be prolonged, and in darker skinned patients you will run a higher risk of hyperpigmentation. This may indeed have been the cause of your prolonged recovery. However, this one picture shows redness and track marks that should completely heal. If there is no hyperpigmentation, that is fantasatic. It will take a little longer, but you should heal up very well. Using a good post-procedure regimen is critical to this healing process. I put all my Infini patients on a Biopelle Growth Factor to accelerate healing. A high-quality HA serum is also helpful, along with good moisturizers.

Answer: Time, follow up, 1927 Fraxel Take baseline pictures. Over time - 3-6 months the grids will get better. Compare photos monthly. If doing well, let time take its course. If things are no better at 4 to 6 months, low power 1927 Fraxel laser or Clear and Brilliant laser can help with this type of reaction. All the best- Dr Davin Lim
