It is difficult to say based off your photo. However, swelling can last 3-6 months after your procedure. I recommend adding hyperbaric oxygen and lymphatic massage along with your compression to help decrease swelling. To improve your final results, I also recommend adding Vanquish for further fat removal, Exilis/Venus Legacy for skin tightening, Cellutone/Z-Wave to make the skin smooth, remove scar tissue, and improve the skin’s appearance. yaya45589.  It is fairly common for swelling to accumulate in the pelvic region after abdominal and flank liposuction because of gravity. It should resolve with time, but if you have concerns you should check in with your plastic surgeon. Good luck.

What you are experiencing is not uncommon. You are still early in the healing process and swelling might persist for a few more months. Usually, it resolves on its own as you heal. It usually takes around 6 months or so to fully heal and by then you will be able to see your final results. Follow up with your surgeon regularly.

The inflammation process can last up to 6 months, each patient has an individual recovery process. You are still in the healing process , so I recommend to be patient, and follow all other instructions given by your surgeon and contact him or her if you have any concerns.

Thanks for the question and provided information as well. 
You are still early on the healing process, it can take up to 6 months to see your final results, so please be patient. At the stage you are in, swellin is normal. Based on your photo, it is hard to give you a recommendation.
I suggest my patients to use a full body compression garment, 24/7 for the first 3 months, and after that, for 12 hours a day for 3 more months and to try the lymphatic massages, to get the best results.

Yaya,The pelvis is the most common area to have postoperative prolonged swelling.  It is the lowest portion of the surgical field, and that's where the fluid accumulates.  A physical exam is the only way to rule out if it is edema (swelling) or a fluid collection (seroma).  You should continue to follow up with your Plastic Surgeon to determine the correct diagnosis.Good luck with your continued healing.Dr T
