How much swelling is expected with 1 vial of Kybella?

swelling is expected with kybella, it is due to the fat cells dissolving on contact with the product and leading to inflammation and fluid.   It is thus not quantifiable and depends on amount of fat that reacts, and the inflammation that your body produces.   If you had three vials before, then doing 1 should be less swelling than what you had before.

You should have less swelling with subsequent treatments as there should be less fat in the area.  Remember that numbness, swelling, tenderness and hardness are all expected, temporary side effects.  Good luck with your future treatments! 

The degree of swelling varies from patient to patient. Most patients need 2-3 treatments. Your surgeon can recommend if additional treatment is needed or not based on your current results and your aesthetic goals.

I would avoid reducing the dose just to avoid swelling. This has been tried in the past and does not make much difference on the swelling but does negatively impact the results. The amount of swelling will be based on the amount of fat you have. You should expect less swelling with your next treatment just because some of the fat has already been reduced after the first treatment. 

Hello Names_artemis,The more swelling you get with Kybella the better.  The more fat that is present the more swelling you will get.  There is no specific way to say how much swelling you will get but if your doctor marked out 3 vials and you only had 1 your final result will be less than ideal and it will take longer to get there.I hope this helps and good luck.
