You have developed post inflammatory hyperpigmentation. You should seek help from a medical professional and will need a few different creams to help resolve this.

Yes, it appears that you have post inflammatory hyperpigmentation. I would recommend following up with a medical professional to correct the area. Do not try to correct the area at home.
To formalise some terms- yes, this will result in PIH however at day TWO post peel, the enzymatic effect of TCA peel will result in some pigmentation. PIH as the name suggest is post inflammatory. In this case, inflammation is present histologically but not in the time frame to call this PIH. The argument is mute as you will have at least a 95% chance that PIH will result. Additionally there is marked 'spill over' of the acid. Scarring is an ever present danger in the short to medium term. Please see a specialist to reduce or possibly prevent scars. PIH may resolve in 12- 18 months. Take care, Dr Davin S. Lim. Brisbane. AU

Chemical peels are the mainstay of our Rapid Exfoliation Protocol. Used with skin brightening creams, they can improve skin quality. If the chemical peel is used alone, PIH may develop; prompting us to begin depigmentation protocols. Best, Dr. Karamanoukian Realself100 Surgeon
Thank you for your question. I recommend that you get a formal evaluation with a Cosmetic Dermatologist. This type of treatment should be performed by a Medical Professional with years of experience. Best Dr. Emer

Yes, this will more than likely scar. The scar will be 50-100 times the total surface area you were attempting to treat . You can minimise the scar by seeing a plastic surgeon or dermatologist. They will 1. Dress the wound, take swabs 2. Cover you against infection 3. Remove any necrotic eschar...
