Morpheus 8 is a non-invasive skin and soft tissue tightening treatment that is consistently amazing in our patients. We use the Morpheus to exact fractional induced RF into the skin or tissue in order to tighten collagen and stimulate contraction of the tissue. For acne scars, it is quite useful to build collagen in patients who have atrophic scars but is not very productive for ice-pick scars which require TCA Cross. For tissue tightening, Morpheus is ideal for the face and neck and we often combine it with CO2 laser or Ultherapy to further enhance results. Chemical peels and skin resurfacing should be done at least 5 to 7 days after, but can be performed earlier, depending on treatment severity. Avoid exfoliating skin treatments before Morpheus and expect a period of 2-4 weeks for skin contraction to set in. Best, Dr. Karamanoukian Realself100 Surgeon
I would recommend a series of 3 Morpheus 8 treatments. While a chemical peel and Retin-A address the most superficial skin cell layers, Morpheus is Bi-polar radio-frequency tightening with micro-needling technology allowing much deeper skin tightening. This option is very effective for tightening loose, wrinkly skin. Cheers from Dallas!
We use energy devices like Thermage and ThermiRF (radiofrequency energy) and Ultherapy (ultrasound) to obtain skin tightening in the thighs and knees. Sculptra to the knees can also help build collagen and improve loose skin and wrinkles. If you have skin laxity in the knees, internal threads (like Silhouette InstaLift) can eliminate sagging skin and build collagen over time. I recommend getting a formal evaluation with a cosmetic dermatologist to determine which combination of treatments will work best for you. Best, Dr. Emer
Hi. Treating wrinkles around the knee can be difficult as there are many factors causing the wrinkling. The skin is folding due to muscle movement and you may have laxity along with wrinkles due to age and sun exposure. The best option on the market is to use Thermage which is procedure utilizing radio frequency heat placed deep in the dermis to stimulate collagen production and this will improve the appearance of the area. Thermage has no downtime and is performed on a yearly or bi yearly basis to maintain collagen and elastic in the skin. However, I would not expect jaw dropping results as the results will be mild to moderate. I hope this information was helpful.
