When will the bruise on my upper lip go away? (after lip injections).

Question

I have got my lips done 3 times and I used to get minimal bruises that went away after 3-4 days. I recently got them done again, for the 4th time. And I have a very bad dark deep bruise on my upper lip. I'm terrified it won't go away anytime soon! I got them done 6 days ago(!) More info: They used revanesse ultra, and previous times they used revanesse. I have gone to a different person each time.

Bruising after lip injection is common when a sharp needle is used. You can ice your lips and try taking arnica and/or bromelain supplements to help with the bruising. In my practice, I prefer using a blunt cannula when performing lip injections to minimize bruising and bumpiness.

Bruising will happen after direct injections.  Cannulas minimize this.  The bruise will subside over the next few days to weeks.
