I always hated the way my nose looked and the shape of my head. What surgery do I need to make myself look somewhat better looking.
Answer: I Recommend Rhinoplasty + Chin Implant | Facial Plastic Surgery Nosejob Expert | Tip Deprojection Weak Chin | Beverly Hills LA Hello and thank you for your question and the pictures. Addressing the shape of your nose (especially the nasal tip) is actually one of the most common reasons people seek out and undergo a rhinoplasty. An open septorhinoplasty can best address both your aesthetic concerns and any functional issues with your nose. I would be able to adjust the size, shape, and definition of your nose (particularly the bridge and the tip)! It also appears you have a "weak chin" relative to the rest of your facial features, which is why you probably feel like your facial features are "imbalanced." The best way to properly address this is with a chin implant to improve the overall harmony of your facial features, especially from your side profile. It's actually pretty common to need both procedures instead of just the rhinoplasty! Rhinoplasty truly is a surgery of millimeters- and whether you're looking for a minor adjustment or a major transformation, it requires exceptional surgical skill to achieve functional and natural-looking results! Because your nose is the DEFINING feature of your face- I would only recommend seeing a surgeon who specializes in rhinoplasty procedures, and who has significant training and experience performing these surgeries. I actually trained under one of the world leading rhinoplasty experts (who performs 1,000+ nosejobs annually). I also trained under a world-renowned master of complex facial aesthetics! I recommend for you to setup a formal consultation with me (or another plastic surgeon who is extremely comfortable with both rhinoplasties and chin implants) to thoroughly discuss your surgical goals, undergo a formal examination, evaluate your options, and develop a personalized plan just for you. I hope this helps! Dr. Donald Groves Aesthetic Plastic Surgeon

Answer: Balanced Facial Features It is always best to be specific about what you'd like to change about your nose when you do consult with a plastic surgeon. That said, in my practice I like to talk to my patients about facial balance. Once of the keys to facial balance is the relationship of the nose to the chin. Your chin is weak and a chin augmentation with an implant would help balance your features. The second piece of the puzzle would be feminizing your nasal tip by making it smaller and more refined.

Answer: Chin implant, not Rhinoplasty! Based on your photos, the lower 1/3 of your face is short on front of you, and you appear to have a recessive chin appearance on profile. In my opinion, depending on your examination, chin implant surgery may be the best way to improve your facial balance - with very little downtime and relatively low expense. You're relatively weak chin projection is the reason that your nose appears large. It is not. Chin implant procedures can be performed with local anesthetic in the office. Sutures are removed in one week, and no special appliances are necessary. I hope this helps you! Sincerely, Dr. Joseph
