Is nanofat transfer to the under eyes safe? Will it need to be repeated to get good results?

Hey, i am getting a nanofat transfer under my eyes, and at the same time possibly a little fat in the tear trough area. Is the tear trough a safe place if only a small amount of fat is injected there? Is this something that often needs to be repeated to get a good result? I have read some people say that it's a bad idea, but shouldn't the amount of fat injected make the difference, along with the surgeon's skills?

I'm a fan of nanofat grating around the eyes. It is more for skin rejuvenation than volume, and so a small amount of fat grafting to the tear troughs can be done. It is best to do a little bit and then add to it if needed.

This anatomic area is extremely complex and difficult to work in. Fat transfer is fickle, unpredictable, and precise and can leave undesirable outcomes that require complex procedures to correct after.

Fillers are much better idea in this area because they are quite the opposite. Fillers are precise, predictable, forgiving.
Grafted fat survives based on how much post tissue is present and the subcutaneous tissue layers around the lower eyelid changes quite drastically within very short distances and this can lead to uneven fat survival.  uneven outcomes become obvious and can be difficult to correct later.

I suggest patients stay with fillers if they want to stay on the more conservative or safe side.
