Small amounts of wine should be fine after BBL and not change your results. Alcohol does cause dilation of the blood vessel of the skin, so to some degree, it can cause mild flushing.
Always best to check withyour provider. Usually a glass of wine after BBL and or HALO is ok. WE always recommend staying well hydrated with water, but a glass of winewithout overdoing it, is usually ok.
Thanks for the great question! I'm close to Napa so I get this question from patients a lot! Drinking wine may make your swelling a little worse for the first few days after the procedure but it will not have any adverse effects on your results. I would limit your consumption for the first few days after the procedure. Best of luck and I hope you love your results!~Dr. Sieber
Congratulations - I think that combination is the very best skin improvement treatment that you can have if you only have a few days of downtime to give. Alcohol will absolutely not 'ruin' your results - no worries! The only risks would be that if you had blood vessels or redness treated with the BBL, you may have dilation of those blood vessels and get less improvement or even possibly a bruise. Also, if you were given any sedating mediations for pain or the treatment, those should not be combined with alcohol.
Thank you for your question. In the first few days after a Halo and BBL combination treatment swelling is very common. Most often it is seen under the eyes and in the cheeks. Some people swell more than others and depending on the depth and density of your treatment, it can be quite significant. While, for me, there aren't any direct contraindications to alcohol consumption after treatment, I highly caution my patients to refrain from it until there swelling has gone down. Usually this occurs within a day or two.
