What is the best technique to remove a small shallow bump on chest (0.5 cm x 0.5 cm)? (Photos)

A small firm superficial bump on my upper chest - approx. 0.5 cm x 0.5 cm - showed up 15 years ago. It's never changed in size or shape or color. It doesn't hurt, but has become more noticable as my skin has become more lax. I want to have it removed but concerned about a scar. I've tried a Co2 laser to improve the appearance but it didn't change the texture or firmness of whatever is underneath. If I have it surgically removed, what kind of stitching techniques should I look for to make sure the scar is minimal?
