Based on skin elasticity, is the likelihood of getting 'a new' bellybutton high on a classic Tummy Tuck? At 40 with two kids, from the photos can you get a sense of whether I have diastasis recti?
Answer: Abdomen You could have the full tummy tuck or do the mini tuck with liposuction to your upper abdomen. the full tuck will give you the flattest abdomen.

Answer: Classic Tummy Tuck and Liposuction for Enhanced Body Contour Thank you for your question regarding whether a classic tummy tuck is the best option for you, and the likelihood of getting a 'new' bellybutton, as well as assessing the presence of diastasis recti based on your photos. From your description and the concerns about skin elasticity and abdominal contour after having two children, I think you would be a great candidate for a classic tummy tuck. This procedure is effective in removing excess skin and fat from the abdomen and tightening the abdominal muscles, which is often necessary after pregnancy if diastasis recti (the separation of abdominal muscles) is present. A tummy tuck also typically involves repositioning or reconstructing the belly button to ensure it looks natural in its new position on a tighter, flatter abdomen. Additionally, to enhance your results and provide an even more contoured figure, liposuction of the superior iliac crest can be considered. This targeted procedure would refine your waistline and complement the flatness achieved through the tummy tuck, creating a harmonious overall appearance. I recommend consulting with a board-certified plastic surgeon who can perform a detailed physical examination and provide personalized advice. During this consultation, discuss all your options, including the details of the belly button reconstruction and how to address any diastasis recti. This will help ensure that your goals are met and that you receive the best possible outcome from your procedures. Sincerely, Dr. Katzen

Answer: Classic tummy tuck Yes. Any pregnancy will give you rectus diastasis to a certain degree. When you tone your muscles, your abdomen gets flat but when you relax, they go to the sides and the abdomen becomes more round. Seems like your weight is within the normal range and BMI less than 30. You will be a great candidate for a classic tummy tuck.

Answer: Considering tummy tuck From your photos you appear to be a good candidate for a standard tummy tuck. You can add liposuction for contouring if desired. It's not possible to tell from the photos if diastasis is present, but it is common after pregnancy. The surgery would remove excess fat and skin and repair abdominal wall laxity. The result will be a flatter, tighter tummy. See a board certified plastic surgeon near you for a consultation to learn more.
