Over the past few years my breast have gotten bigger and bigger. It didn't matter if I lost weight, my breasts wouldn't go anywhere. So I decided to take the plunge a few years ago and was denied by my insurance, and at time I was a 36G. 2 years later, under a different insurance and currently wearing a 36L, I was approved! Thank God because I was about to cut them off myself. It's been 2 days since my surgery and I am very happy with the results. My biggest fear was that my nipples would look like Frankenstein but they look amazing from what I could tell. I am in pain, or strong discomfort. My butt hurts from laying in the bed and it feels like I have a really bad underwire bra on. The medicine is working (Percocet) however I'm switching over to Tylenol because it is keeping me up. I'll post a few before and after pictures and update everyone in a few day when my drains are removed. Updated on 14 Dec 2021: My drains were removed today thank goodness and I can finally shower tomorrow. So far the pain has been bearable. I stopped taking the heavy pain meds a few day ago. Today was the first day that I left home since my surgery and I still took it easy. I do feel sore and I was told to take it easy until my next appointment which is in a week. Overall, I am still happy with my results.
I'm only one week post op, and I love my results already. Dr. Madhukar G. Chhatre is very nice and listened to my wants and answers any questions I had, felt safe in his hands and his staff goes over and beyond. Can't say nothing but great things about them. @summit plastic surgery in Missouri
Dr Chhatre did my breast augmentation and I could not be more thrilled with the results. I took great care in choosing a plastic surgeon. My husband is a physician, making him a tough critic. Dr Chhatre was the obvious choice no question. My before and after results are mind blowing. I’ve never felt better!
Can’t say enough wonderful things about Dr. Chhatre. After 3 babies I needed extensive ab repair. Dr Chhatres beautiful work has me looking and feeling better than I ever have. As an added bonus his office support staff are also phenomenal!
Fantastic experience. The doctor and his team spent so much time talking to me about my goals for my procedure and really understanding what I did and didn’t like. They helped advise me very well, and gave me realistic expectations for what surgery, recovery, and outcomes would be like. They were very respectful and prompt. Very glad I found Dr. Chhatre.
Dr Chhatre and his staff are top in their field. I appreciate his honesty and skill. His bedside manner is top notch! That was probably the main reason i chose him to begin with. He even called me the night of my surgery and the next day(Saturday) to see how I was doing. Leslie has always been very friendly and supportive. She never sugar coated anything, which I definitely appreciate. Not only these qualities, but my results are beyond perfect. I would highly recommend him!
Dr. Chhatre performed my breast reduction around this time last year. I was so over having larger breast. I told him that I wanted to be a C cup. Initially he was worried that I wouldn’t like them that small. But I wanted them GONE! I went from an FF to a C and my little boobs look great! I highly recommend Dr. Chhatre.
I had liposuction performed by Dr. Chhatre yesterday. Everything went smoothly. I had my chin and upper arms done. I am 24, 5'4, and 135 lbs. Dr. Chhatre called to check on me after the procedure later that night. He said everything went smoothly. To my surprise, I am in ZERO pain. I was so worried about paib. I am hopeful for results and will post my results as time goes on. Updated on 6 Sep 2018: I have not noticed any significant improvement. I am hoping that it is just swelling, as I have read that swelling can take up to 6 months to go away. However, I have always read that 80% of the swelling is gone by month 1. I am very worried my chin will not change anymore. I definitely am wanting more significant changes. Updated on 28 Sep 2018: I am hoping my results continue to get better. I am trying to be patient and wait the 6 months. I am thinking there could have been more fat taken out, however. Maybe I was not clear enough about the extreme change I was wanting. Trying to be optimistic, as I spent my savings on this.
I had such a great experience with Dr. Chhatre with my breast lift and implants! The procedure was truly life changing for me. I lost over 100 lbs and will be 50 next year. My breasts were embarrassing and really impacted how I interacted with people. Even my well meaning friends and family would make comments about my breasts. I met with Dr. Chhatre and his staff to go over what they could do to improve my situation. He and his staff were AMAZING throughout the processing: scheduling, fitting, pre-op, surgery and post-op care. They were absolutely WONDERFUL. They worked with me during the selection process, getting to know what I wanted as well as asking for pictures. It is always a little difficult trying to imagine what the outcome will be with a lift and implants. The results were every bit and more of what I had hoped. Even my mom in her 70's changed her attitude about my procedure. They look great, completely natural and I love how much more comfortable I am. My bras are no longer acting as suspenders! I am nearly 10 weeks post op and my scars are barely noticeable. The recovery was surprisingly easy. If you are in the KC Metro and are thinking about getting it done, give Dr. Chhatre a call and schedule your consultation! His office is great, convenient, and they are respectful of your time and your experience. Since my procedure, I have talked to other women about their experience. This is an important investment in yourself both financially and emotionally. I wish everyone had such a great experience as I have had with Dr. Chhatre.
After 16 years of having breast implants, I began to suffer from breast implant illness. My thyroid got out of whack, my hair fell out, I had chronic fatigue, my eyebrows fell out and a host of other problems. I decided to have them removed with a full capsulectomy and lift. After breastfeeding five children I thought that I wouldn't have much breast tissue left over to work with. However, I was pleasantly surprised to have my toxic implants removed, and breasts lifted to a healthy c-cup! The recovery was way less painful than I thought. I didn't experience much pain at all. At 5 weeks my breasts have settled and the scars are beginning to fade.
Hi, Congrats on your massive weight loss! You are a great candidate for a full tummy tuck. I would advise you to get an extended TT, to allow the scar to exceed a bit past your hip bones to get all of the excess skin that sits on your hips. You will likely need a pubic lift in the future as well, if the ptosis is not corrected to your liking. Ensure that your doctor does lipo of your flanks and upper abdomen to contour your silhouette appropriately. Best of luck!
Hi, Unfortunately, the first 6 months after muscle repair is the danger zone to where the sutures can be popped if the intra-abdominal pressure exceeds its threshold. However, the sutures used for this repair are usually VERY strong and are made to withhold force. It is very unlikely, but not completely impossible. I would go get assessed by your surgeon and even inquire if he uses continuous or interrupted sutures in his muscle repairs. In the meantime, I would be wearing very tight compression to support your abd wall.
Hi, It is hard to tell if you have muscle separation from these angles. If you lay down flat, and lift your legs up simultaneously (like an ab exercise), and have a 'bulge' in the center of your abdomen, this is the muscle separation. I think there is a possibility that you may benefit from a mini-TT if you do not want a 'new bellybutton', however, this tactic can only correct the abd muscles BELOW your umbilicus. You would likely need an in-person consult to decide appropriately. Best of luck!
Hi, Congrats on your weight loss. Usually I prefer my patients to be AT or BELOW a 30 BMI. 200lb at your height is about 29.5. This is a fine weight to be for a TT, but I do agree that this needs to be maintained as well as possible postop. I always use drains, without them increases your risk for hematomas and seromas, which can ruin your results. They are inconvenient, yes, but worth the consequences of not having them. Good luck to you.
Hi, With having no pregnancies, you should not have much (if any) diastasis recti, or separation of your abdominal muscles. However, I have seen it before in my practice, that they can still be slightly separated in nulliparous women. If you are undergoing a TT, I would let your surgeon have the option to do so if he sees it is fit while in the OR, to aim for your best result possible. Liposuction does cause a tremendous amount of scar tissue, so this will make his soft tissue dissection more challenging. But, it is doable. Best of luck to you in surgery.
