Hello and Great Question. I appreciate the time you are spending researching this procedure. My name is Dr. Matthew J. Nykiel. I am a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon, a Fellowship Trained Cosmetic Surgeon, and a Butt Augmentation Specialist.I advise my patients that they can return to this type of work after 6-7 weeks, but they need to avoid any harsh pressure to the surgical areas. Please always consult with a board certified plastic surgeon before actually returning to work and do as they recommend.I hope that helps! Best of Luck!Matthew J. Thanks for your question.I advise my patients that they can return to this type of work after 6 weeks, but they need to avoid trauma to the surgical areas. Please always consult with a board certified plastic surgeon.Take care,Moises Salama M.D., Board Certified Plastic Surgeon
Most patients will need 4 to 6 weeks before returning to exercise. If it's strenuous or vigorous exercise, the upper bound - six weeks after surgery is recommended. You will have to gradually return to your pre-BBL stripping dance routines.Kenneth Hughes, MD, Board Certified Plastic SurgeonLos Angeles, CA
Hello Xh0neyguapaX,It’s a pleasure to answer your questions! Every patient is unique and will have different healing processes and deadlines. As short as one week after surgery, most patients resume desk-type employment and their regular lives, yet avoiding strenuous exercise and activities for at least 8 weeks. You may be instructed to expect a longer recovery time before you return to a physically demanding job. Since every case is different, it’s always best to consult with your plastic surgeon and closely follow his/her post-operative instructions. Best wishes! Dr. De La Cruz.
Thank you very much for your question. To give post-operative advice, I individualize each patient according surgery complexity, to guarantee a better p.o. recovery and results. The estimate time is after 4 week post op.Kind regards,Dr. Emmanuel Mallol Cotes.-
Dear Xh0neyguapaX,I instruct my patients not to sit for 2 solid weeks. We provide them a specialized pillow that our patients can sit on during that time. They can sleep on their stomachs or sides. Every plastic surgeon has his own postoperative protocol which he recommends to his patients. I would suggest you to discuss this with your plastic surgeon.Daniel Barrett, MDCertified, American Board of Plastic SurgeryMember, American Society of Plastic SurgeryMember, American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery
Hello dear!!Thanks for the question and provided information as well. I recommend my patients to wait at least 4 weeks before resuming their workout rutine. If you have any concerns, I suggest you to follow up close with your plastic surgeon.Hope this is helpful. Good luck :)
To be safe I would recommend taking work off for two weeks. The small incisions that are made during liposuction are left open to allow excess fluid to drain. Additionally we insert two drains (one to the abdomen and one to the back) because our liposuction is so aggressive, and they help prevent any fluid pooling under the skin and causing a seroma. These would be the main reasons to take the time off since the drains stay in for at least a week or up to two. Other than that getting back to your regular routine after a couple of days after most of your soreness is totally doable and encouraged!
I ask my patients not to apply pressure to the areas of fat grafting for 10 days. I ask for no heavy cardio strenuous workout for 4 weeks. I ask that you wear the compression garment for 4 weeks. You swell a lot after this procedure and can have significant bruising. If you stop wearing the compression garment early in order to go back to work before the 4 weeks, you will be even more swollen.
I use a similar protocol in which the patients aren't able to sit for 2 weeks. You will be able to do cardio 1-2 weeks after the procedure or when you feel up to it. The thing is that you're going to have a lot off bruising and swelling immediately after surgery and a lot of swelling for weeks to months after that. In this procedure it just takes time for all of the swelling to go down. So depending on when you're comfortable to return to work, I'd say you'd need at least a couple of weeks off.Best,~Dr. Sieber
I recommend that my patients take 100 grams of protein each day during the healing phase for the first six weeks following surgery. This protein can be in the form of manufactured premier protein shakes or optimum whey protein added to milk or water. The objective is not weight gain but pr...
Thank you for your question! For my patients having any procedure, I instruct them to stop taking ibuprofen 2 weeks prior to and 3 weeks post surgery. I recommend discussing specific post op instructions with your plastic surgeon. Best of luck!
