Am I going to still have stretch mark dents? 6 days post op TT. (photos)

Thanks for your inquiry, the stretch marks you already had that were not removed in the procedure will remain.  Right now because of swelling everything will look more prominent including the dents,  but should improve in appearance with time as swelling decreases. Please discuss your concerns with your surgeon, good luck.  

Stretch marks always appear worse until the swelling resolves.  Whatever stretch marks are remaining at this point cannot be removed without further skin removal.Best of luck!

For now it is too soon to see how your final result will look like. You are still in the healing process, so I recommend to be patient, wear your compression garment and follow all other instructions given by your surgeon. If you're still worried about the marks or don't see any improvement let your doctor know so he/she can help. Good luck.

Whether you have residual stretch marks is generally related to whether the skin that was removed encompassed all your original stretch marks.  Depending on the situation, this may or may not be the case.

It is too early to be able to judge your result. It is completely normal at this stage to have swelling and irregularities and it can take a  number of months for these to settle.

The stretch marks that have been unable to be removed will end up with a similar appearance to how they were before your surgery.  They will change from how they are now as you recover. They shouldn't look any worse long term.  During this recovery time please try not to look too closely at the details.  Your result should be good, but you will need patience with your recovery.  Regards

Way too early to judge result or be concerned. It looks like there has been a lot of skin removed based on what's left of your tattoo. I think you should get an excellent result. Best wishes.

During tummy tuck extra skin is cut from the below ,so the  upper skin / stretch marks come at lower position.  As the post operative  swelling goes, stretchmarks will become less visible .Wait and watch

Hi KrystalI am not sure whether your TT was done by a Specialist PS but they appear to have done a mini TT rather than a full TT which is what was required to eliminate the loose skin and stretch marks around the belly button.  I expect this would have been discussed with you as the surgeon is also unlikely to have tightened the abdominal muscles with this approach.  This may have been suggested due to the tattoo which would be partially excised with a full TT.  I’m afraid the the loose skin and stretch marks that remain will persist and may actually get a little worse once the swelling has gone.Good luckDr Mark Hanikeri MBBS FRACSPerth Specialist Plastic Surgeon
