Could my tummy tuck be causing hip pain and mobility issues 2 years post op?

Dear cecegirl73,while performing a tummy tuck surgery, plastic surgeon will not go near the hip joint so it is unlikely that your symptoms are caused by tummy tuck surgery. Thank you for sharing your question and I am sorry to hear of your hip symptoms.  Because tummy tucks work on the superficial skin and adipose tissues of the abdomen it is unlikely that this resulted in your hip related issues.  I would continue to work with your gp/orthopedic surgeon to help identify what may be taking place.  Hope this helps.

It is doubtful that your tummy tuck surgery had anything to do with the wear and tear on your hip joint causing clicking.

Extremely unlikely for a tummy tuck (mostly as skin procedure) to have an affect on the hips (deep joints).

Tummy tuck could not be causing your issues. Consult an orthopedic surgeon and get yourself evaluated and treated.

Sorry to hear about your issues.  I don't believe, however, that your symptoms could be caused by the tummy tuck procedure.  I believe you should consult with an orthopedic surgeon.  Best of luck.
