I really Want a Brazilian buttlift. But i need a tummy tuck. I want both procedures at the same time. I have a potential doctor to do eother procedure, im torn on which to do first. From you wonderful professionals which wpuld tou suggest i do first, ease and thwnk you for calming my anxietiy!

Hello and thank you for your question. I have many patients who undergo this procedure at the same time for multiple reasons - taking time to recover twice is challenging, having a specific timeline, etc. It can be safely done at the same time; however it does make recovery and positioning more challenging for patients because you cannot harm the tummy tuck by lying on your abdomen and you cannot lie on the areas where the fat is grafted. Patients use body pillows and usually sleep on their sides with pillows to sleep comfortably however it is still challenging.

The argument could be made to undergo the abdominoplasty first because any liposuction done to the abdomen would make your skin look more loose and if you were for any reason unable to have an abdominoplasty after a BBL you would be left with skin that looked worse after liposuction. If you do undergo a BBL first, I recommend not liposuctioning the abdomen as it could make the loose skin worse. Best of luck to you.

Hi, thank you for sharing your question. You can safely undergo both procedures at one time, but if you wanted to stage them, I would consider doing the BBL first as this would allow for maximal fat harvest and transfer, while optimizing your recovery. I hope this helps.

Thank you for your question. You can have the Brazilian butt lift and tummy tuck done at the same time. I perform many BBL and tummy tuck combo procedures. However, if you're considering having a BBL and tummy tuck done individually, then it makes sense to do the tummy tuck first. Then 4- 5 months later, a BBL can be performed. The reason being that if you have significant excess skin and you get liposuction in that area, the area will look wrinkled, scarred, and irregular. Also doing significant liposuction on the abdomen and then having a tummy tuck later can predispose you to wound healing complications after the tummy tuck. If you are in good health, you could be a good candidate for Brazilian buttlift (BBL), and tummy tuck. Fat can be taken from many different areas of the body including abdomen, sides, bra rolls, arms, underarms, flanks, lower back, upper back, posterior neck, submental areas, jowls, thighs, calves, ankles, and inner knees. You have to consider not only which areas will have perhaps the best fat, but also you have to consider which donor sites will have the fewest problems afterward with the liposuction. In general, the abdomen and thighs are preferred, but, if those sites are not available, other areas can be used.
I perform the tummy tuck and liposuction/BBL combination frequently because many of my patients only want to go through surgery and recovery one time. Recovery can be challenging and uncomfortable. However, there are creative ways to manage the recovery position. Pillows can be placed under the lower back and the posterior thighs and patients can sleep on the back. A cushion with a hole cut out can perform a similar function. There is also a mattress with a hole into which you can place your buttocks and sleep on your back.
You could stage the procedures and have the TT done first; then the liposuction and BBL. However, the result will not be as tight as liposuction and BBL first and then TT. Both can be performed at the same time, but the upper abdomen cannot be aggressively liposuctioned at the time of the TT due to blood supply issues.

Finally, I suggested take the fat we get and transfer to the buttocks and hips, to mold them and get better volume, contour and butt projection, is that we know as "Brazilian Butt Lift" (BBL).

I can only respond for the options in the state of Florida. If using office surgery setting, in your case, you need extended full TT with only allowed 1 liter liposuction by office surgery rules. So in other words your best results would be 2 separate surgeries. Either lipo 360/BBL the 4-6 months extended full TT with additional 1 liter lipo of back and small round 2 BBL. Fees in the 2 surgeries range from $20,000+If using out patient hospital operating setting within overnight then lipo of back upto 3 liters with extended full Tt can be combined.
