Right breast moves horizontally and it feels very uncomfortable

It is unusual for the implant to feel “detached” from the breast so long after surgery. If it feels more solid than the other side and is causing discomfort, it would be a good idea to see your surgeon for an assessment.

The breast should not feel rock-hard after augmentation, as this may indicate the presence of capsular contracture around the implant. The appropriate management will depend on whether your implants are placed under or over the muscle. Additionally, if the implant is shifting to the side, it suggests that the pocket and surrounding breast tissue may need extra support. This can often be addressed with the use of a dermal graft or synthetic mesh. It's important to ensure your plastic surgeon has experience with these types of revision procedures. In the meantime, wearing a well-fitted, supportive bra can help provide some temporary relief.

It is very important to schedule a post op appointment with your surgeon to go over your specific concerns. It is normal to have one side feel slightly different than the other, especially during the first 12 months of healing. Your description warrants an assessment by your surgeon.

It is possible that you have capsular contracture. A capsular contracture is often hard, painful, and creates asymmetry. Unfortunately, you have not provided photographs. You should be evaluated for a capsular contracture.

It may be that you have some displacement of your right implant. This is not dangerous, but can be corrected surgically by tightening the pocket. Visit with your surgeon for an evaluation and to learn more about your options.
