How will hot saunas affect implants?

Hello! I have been hearing more and more about possibility that sauna can melt the implants. I would realy appreciate a proffesional either to confirm or debunk this. Hot sauna (over 200 F) and cold plunge were my routine almost everyday but I have stopped since I heard about a possibility to melt my implants. I have done mine in May of 2020, 750cc each of "gummy bear". Thank you

I am not aware of any data to suggest that a sauna will affect an in vivo implant.

Medical grade silicone can withstand temperatures much hotter than can be achieved in a sauna by a large margin (upwards of nearly 500 degrees F).

As always, discuss your concerns with a board certified plastic surgeon (ABPS).

I am not sure where this "urban legend" started, but I can say without a doubt that this is ridiculous. Breast implants are made of medical-grade silicone, which can withstand temps of almost 400 degrees. Even the hottest of the hot sauna may get up to 175 degrees, but you are not even half way there. Go enjoy life and don't believe things you read online.

Breast implants do not melt in a hot sauna. Implants are in your body and before any heat can damage them, your skin will feel the heat and may burn.

No, a sauna will not melt breast implants. “Gummy Bear” breast implants are made with a solid silicone outer shell and filled internally with a highly cohesive silicone gel. These materials are designed to withstand normal body temperatures and environmental heat exposure, including saunas. Silicone, for instance, has a high melting point (above 300°C or 572°F), far higher than any sauna's temperature, which generally ranges between 70°C to 100°C (158°F to 212°F). You can safely continue your routine without a concern about damaging your breast implants.

No, the sauna will not damage or melt your implants unless you are in one that is hot enough to cause burns to your tissue and expose the implants. We routinely autoclave breast implant sizers, made of identical material as implants, at high temperatures and pressures and they do not melt.

No, a hot sauna will not melt your implants, you shouldn't worry about it. Before melting your implants is more likely that something very hot will cause first a burn on your skin, before melting an implant. Silicone implants are safe in saunas because silicone melts at temperatures above 392°F . 
Anyway if you have any doubt regarding your implants, I strongly recommend that you ask your surgeon for a more in depth answer.

Being in a hot environment does not mean your body is going to get significantly hotter in regards to core temperature.
Your body cannot tolerate being over 104° for very long. Period
Even being in hot environment. Your implants will probably never get above 106°.
There's no correlation with implant damage from being in hot environments.
