That is a very strange occurrence! I’m not sure anyone will have a viable diagnosis other than the nerve was injured during the mammogram.
Treatments might include using a short course of either Lyrica or Neurontin (medications used for overactive nerve pains among many other indications).
Another possibility that I have found that works, Kenalog 10 (a weak steroid) injection under the affected areolas.
I’m sit sure why there is a temporary nipple color change when erect. A photo would be nice.
