6 months out with SRX 445cc (was hoping for natural, subtle result with 300cc mod-full profile, but surgeon chose final implant). I’m feeling very insecure about the size of these implants (I’m now a 32DDD and was aiming for a 32D), the projection is wild, this gap looks unnatural vs the volume and projection, and they aren’t as soft as I was hoping. Would going down to ~300-350cc mod or full profile help with the above issues? Age 40, breast fed x2, 125 lbs, 5’5”.
Answer: Revision surgery Dear allyb25, breast implant type and sizing selection is a complicated process and requires a detailed consultation that includes a discussion of your goals, a detailed examination, and a lengthy discussion. But the decision will always start and end with the patient. When it comes to sizing, we have all of our patients find 3 photos of their desired breast size. We ask for naked breast photos because clothing can obscure the true size (push up bras). Next, we consult with patients and go over the photos and take detailed breast measurements during a physical exam. Next, we using a sizing algorithm to determine a range of implants that will work based on the exam and the measurements.Lastly, during the operation, we use silicone sizers in the operating room to see how the size actually looks in the breast. We sit the patient up in the operating room, while asleep of course, and compare the sizer result with their desired look photos. If it is too small, we start the process over with a slightly larger implant. We don't stop until we get the perfect match.Of all of my breast augmentation patients, every one of them has been happy with their size due to this detailed and meticulous process. You don't want to invest time and money into a result that is either too big or too small. You should discuss your concerns with a board-certified plastic surgeon and make sure that your surgeon understands your goals. Answer: Size Yes, try going down to 300-325 cc's for a better fit and less weight on your tissues. You should also lose at least one cup in size. Your lateral pockets can be internally tightened a well so you do not have too much movement for the implants.

Answer: Explant with Bellesoma Method In your before photos, your breasts were low on the chest wall. In an attempt to elevate your breasts, your surgeon used large implants, which has resulted in the problems you are experiencing. Yes, you need smaller implants. Your breasts will still be low on the chest wall. An alternative to consider is explantation and lift using The Bellesoma Method. The implants are removed, your breast tissue is reshaped creating upper pole fullness, elevated higher on the chest wall and more medial to increase your cleavage. Vertical scars are avoided, nipple sensation (in 95%) and the ability to breast feed are maintained if not injured during your previous surgery. Later, fat transfers can be performed if additional volume is desired. Best Wishes, Gary Horndeski, M.D.

Answer: Breast implant revision It's understandable that you're feeling insecure about the size and projection of your implants, as well as the gap between them. It's important to remember that breast augmentation is a highly personalized procedure, and every individual's results will vary based on factors such as body type, breast tissue, and personal preference. In terms of reducing the size and projection of your implants, it may be possible to exchange them for smaller implants, such as the 300-350cc mod or full profile implants you mentioned. This can help to create a more natural and proportionate result that aligns with your desired size and shape. However, it's important to discuss your concerns and goals with your surgeon to determine the best approach for your individual situation. Regarding the gap between your implants, this can be corrected by repositioning them closer together with a technique called internal suturing. Your surgeon may also recommend a different implant placement, such as subglandular or subfascial, to help achieve a more natural look. Finally, in regards to the softness of your implants, it's important to give them time to fully settle and soften. It's normal for implants to feel firm in the first few months after surgery, but they should gradually soften over time. If you continue to experience firmness or other concerns, be sure to discuss these with your surgeon. Overall, it's important to communicate your concerns and goals with your surgeon and work together to develop a plan to achieve the results you desire. Be sure to take the time to research and choose a skilled and experienced surgeon who can help you achieve your desired outcome. I hope this helps, best of luck !
