What is this skin knot in my scalp after a facelift /neck lift? (photos)

This is likely related to the incision lines, but  Be sure to discuss with your own surgeon about how this applies to you, and whether they have any special concerns in your case.

It's from your scalp closure. It should dissipate with time, but if it is really bothering to you, speak with your surgeon as to his or her protocol for dealing with these kind of bumps. Massage can help. Sorry that you are experiencing this. Best, Dr. Nazarian

Due to swelling lumps and bumps in the scalp after a facelift are fairly common. Show this to your surgeon.

That looks like the end of your closure which is a little bit bunched in to a dog ear and should resolve with time. Some times the tension can cause discomfort and a puling sensation. Massaging can be helpful to soften the scar. I would recommend that you follow-up with your surgeon as well. #PlasticSurgery #FaceLift #Recovery

It's hard to tell from the picture submitted exactly what this is. Most commonly, it is the end of the scar in the hairline behind the ear which can be tender for some time. Point this area out to your surgeon for their evaluation and recommendations about what can be done to ease your pain.

Sometimes at the end of the suture line, a small bunch of tissue can result.  Yours is hidden in the hair and typically these will slowly flatten and disappear over time.  Massage may help speed the process.  Be sure your surgeon is aware of it, so it can be followed.  The discomfort should improve as the bump flattens.

looks like this is where the incision ends and skin is slightly puckering up.  This will settle over time and you do not need to worry about it.

It looks like the dog ear of your scalp closure.  Dog ears of this size usually decrease in size without any additional intervention.  Massage may help or localization of specific areas of pain with an injection of lidocaine.  If it goes away then possible excision of that area may be warranted.  Your plastic surgeon is your best resource. It should improve.
