Is it possible for me to have much smaller areolas? (Photo)

I have natural breast and I hate the large size of my areolas. Right now they measure almost 2.5 inches wide and I would prefer no more than an inch at the most. What procedure(s) would I need? and what would leave the smallest amount of scarring?

Areola reduction surgery which involves a scar that goes around the circumference of the areola is the procedure to make the areola smaller.  However based on the photos the recommended procedure for you would be a breast lift.  This would include downsizing the areola as well as addressing asymmetry of the breasts and raising the nipple position.  Visit with a board certified plastic surgeon near you to learn more.

Hello,Yes, smaller areolas are possible.  To accomplish this you will need to have a purse string areolaplasty.  This procedure involves freeing up the skin around the areola and sinching it in with an internal permanent suture.All the best,Dr.  Remus Repta
