Reducing size and puffiness of areolas without breast lift?

I am 17 years old with 34C breasts and the size and puffiness of my areolas has been bothering me for years. My left areola is about 2.5 inches in diameter, and my right is about 2 inches in diameter. I am wondering if it is possible to reduce the size to 1-1.5 inches in diameter and get rid of the puffiness?

Thank you for your question.Yes, areola reduction is possible and often helps correct the nipple puffiness.

a good candidate and that it is safe for you to have surgery.

Yes it is possible to reduce areola size and puffiness but it will require surgery.  It's best to wait until you have finished puberty before considering this surgery.  After that time you can meet with a board certified plastic surgeon near you to learn more about your options.  If you are under 18 you will need a parent's consent for surgery.

The puffiness of the areolas can be reduced with a donut mastopexy, also called circumareolar mastopexy or areolar reduction. The only scar would be around the circumference of the areola.A rim of skin is removed from the outer portion of the areola. A purse string stitch is placed to stretch out the areolar skin, flattening the domed contour. How much flatness can be achieved depends on the amount of breast tissue under the areola. Puffy areolas are often associated with tuberous breasts.
