I plan on going to Miami for a BBL/Lipo360, and i live about 3 1/2 hours from miami so i plan to drive. Do i need to stay a week @ my air bnb close by the surgical office or could i come home after 3-5 days?
Answer: In state BBL. Do I need to stay close to the surgical office for a week or could I return home after 3-5 days? I recommend that my BBL patients remain in LA for at least a week in a near-by location for follow-up and recuperation. The plastic surgeon in Miami who is performing your BBL would be the best person to answer this question as he/she will know how you are healing during the first post-op follow up. Most plastic surgeons would recommend limiting your driving the first 6 to 8 weeks following the BBL. I recommend that my patients minimize sitting, even with a pillow, for the first two weeks. If they have to sit, it is critical that every 30 minutes or an hour you stop, get out of your vehicle, and stand for a few seconds to take the pressure off. Driving is much worst than sitting as pushing on the accelerator or brake involves pushing back against the buttocks and lower back.

Answer: Postoperative protocol Dear cheyannaxo, I understand your concern. It is best that you consult your plastic surgeon regarding post operative care and management (i.e including massage techniques and timing) specific to your case. Your surgeon knows your condition well and has preferences on when and what to use for faster healing and recovery. Post operative care and management depends on the type of surgery performed and the technique used during surgery among other factors. It is best, however, that you follow your plastic surgeon's advice on post operative care management for a smooth and faster healing and recovery. Answer: In state BBL. Do I need to stay close to the surgical office for a week or could I return home after 3-5 days? Depends where you are having surgery! If in private practices of boarded PSs, like myself, I would like to see you in person day after surgery. If all OK then you could travel home in the state of FL. To bee seen about 4-5 days later for drain removal. All the while being in direct contact with the surgeon via virtual. If using a clinic, they never want to see you again! And you would never see your surgeon postop!!! It is your choice, doing the ethical standard of care or be another in the mass production line...
