I am 61 years old 5ft 2 48kilos. I have bcc skin cancer on back and pdo threads in cheeks. I don't smoke but addicted to nicotine lozenges. am I suitable to have deep plane facelift?

The most concerning point about your history is use of nicotine lozenges, which would preclude you from having a facelift unless stopped for 6 weeks prior to surgery.  If you present with upper respiratory symptoms, fever, cough etc. on the day of surgery, your surgery will most likely be postponed. We do not test for COVID (and never did), because many cases are asymptomatic and have no bearing on outcome medically or surgically.

Hello, every procedure requires an assessment to know if you are a candidate. In the case of being a candidate, preparation is necessary to eliminate all the risk factors that could cause complications. In your case, it is required to suspend the nicotine. In addition, the COVID test must be negative to avoid infection from medical staff and to avoid complications in your surgery and recovery.

Policies regarding Covid vary and change as we learn more. For example if you had Covid three months ago you could still test positive. Ask you surgeon about their policy and bear in mind it could change.

Since you tested positive, the surgery may need to be postponed. If you recently are getting over COVID and no longer have symptoms or coughing, your doctor may choose to go ahead as planned. However, if you recently have not had COVID and you are now positive, you probably will become sick soon and do need to reschedule.  It is not good to do much coughing after a facelift.
