Can you get a facelift after total jaw joint replacement?

Hello, I had TJR over a year ago and healed good. I have some sagging, particularly in my midface and would like a facelift. I do know a lady who had TJR plus a facelift at the same time, but do not know of anyone who has had one after. Would you consider someone who has titanium joints as a candidate for facelift surgery? Also is temple filler safe after TJR?

I think you can have a facelift but I would do a skin lift only. Any work done on the muscle could impact the way your jaw joint works. It probably would not but don’t take the chance. You’ll get a nice enough result from skin only.

A facelift shouldn’t present any issues with your joint replacement as the layers it addresses shouldn’t communicate with the joint capsule. That being said, there will likely be scar tissue in the area where previous surgery performed and this will just need to be carefully addressed during surgery.
