Does prior Rogaine use matter at all for hair transplant?

Rogaine will not affect transplanted hairs or interfere with surgery.  If you are concerned it is best to discuss this with your doctor.

For most patients, they have been using Rogaine for a while prior to their transplant surgery, and will continue using it (except for a small break right after the surgery while it heals) after the surgery. Transplant surgeries do not stop you from taking Rogaine because you still have natural hair (and the new hair) to keep healthy.

Using Rogaine does not have any effect on the your hair transplant. After using rogaine after your hair transplant could potentially help you new hair grow in faster.

Use of Rogaine will not have an adverse effect on a hair transplant.  Ideally, start Rogaine now and continue after your transplant.

Hair becomes dependent upon minoxidil so maintenance of this drug before and shortly after the surgery may be necessary
