I had a LBL/360 lipo with a bbl done September of 2021. From day one I’ve had excess skin and have had a bulge in my lower abdomen. I’m 43 yrs old 5’8 day of my procedure my weight was 157 bmi between 24-25. I’ve been a smoker all my life, 3 pregnancies one of which was a set of twins at the age of 38. I understand as your weight fluctuates, age, smoking that skin elasticity goes down hill. My weight now is 143 . I’m just don’t understand why I just can’t be flat!

Answer: Tummy tuck with mesh The technique I recommend an abdominoplasty with mesh reinforcement, if you are not planning future pregnancies. The mesh creates a more hourglass figure by compressing the abdominal wall resulting in early satiety and helps maintain a reduced weight. You have to be a non-smoker to be able to have this procedure done. Best Wishes, Gary Horndeski, M.D.

Answer: Flat This could be related to several issues1) inadequate tightening of the abdominal wall in a vertical or horizontal manner2) inadequate thinning of the abdominal fat in the central part of the abdominoplasty3) excess intra-abdominal fatI would highly recommend seeing a board eligible or board certified plastic surgeon for a physical exam and accurate analysis with safe recommendations for potential surgical options. Best of luck!
