When can I start wearing deodorant after breast augmentation through the armpit?

I got breast augmentation on the 7th. Tomorrow I will be 5 days post op and I am wondering when I can wear deodorant again. I had incision through my armpits.

After transaxillary breast augmentation, which is the primary method by which we place implants, we remove the sutures, allow the patients to shave, and allow the patients to use deodorant at 1 week.

This question should be directed to your chosen surgeon as each surgeon has their own preferences when it comes to post operative care. I recommend my patients wear no deodorant for 2 weeks post operative via the armpit approach. Best of luck.

I would suggest asking your surgeon for his/her recommendations. Most wounds are usually healed well enough to allow deodorant by 3-4 weeks.

Deodorant can be applied typically 2-3 weeks after surgery depending on how your incisions have healed. Please follow the post operative guide provided by your Plastic Surgeon.
