Hi @denise3104! Redness a couple days post procedure is normal. However, it does seem quite unusual to still be experiencing numerous symptoms 5 days post procedure. I would recommend returning to the provider who performed the procedure. Best of luck, Dr. Nima!
Hello and thank you for your question.I am sorry to hear you are having a longer then expected healing response from your Microneedling. In my experience, with our patients having microneedling with PRP the healing schedule is the first 2 days redness and swelling, by day 3 most of the redness and swelling have calmed and by day 4 usually a bit dry and flakey.PRP speeds up the healing process and using medical grade post procedure products will also aid in a quicker healing response, along with no strenuous exercise, avoiding sun, and taking it easy during the first 2 days to allow the skin to heal.If you still have concerns I would recommend following up with your provider.Best to you,
ReportMicroneedling is great to correct scars such as acne scars and also to stimulate collagen. after the treatment it is possible for skin to be red and maybe dry for couple days but should be healed within 3 days. I am not sure how aggressive your physician treated you, there are different length that needle could penetrate in your skin and if you go deeper that you should could actually damage the skin, also would depend how many passes she performed . I recommend you follow up with your physician.
Thank you for your question, and I am sorry you are still experiencing some down time. In my experience with micro-needling individuals may have some redness a couple days post procedure however, it does seem unusual to still be experiencing that extreme list of symptoms 5 days post procedure. I would recommend returning to the provider who performed the procedure and see what they say and what they may recommend to aid in the healing process.
Microneedling is a great way to stimulate good quality collagen, correct scars and wrinkles. I am not sure what type of treatment you had and if it was performed in a medical setting or not, but what you are describing it is an unusual downtime. In my experience the skin immediately after can be pink-redish and feel dry but usually everything is healed within 3 days. I recommend you follow up with your physician.
