Dear Physicians, do antibiotics reduce the effectiveness of Kybella? What about Augmentin?

Would taking a ten day prescription of Augmentin, beginning on day 7 after a first Kybella treatment, reduce the effectiveness of Kybella? If it would, is there an alternative antibiotic that would not interfere with Kybella's efficacy? Thanks again.

Yes, you can get liposuction after Kybella. I find that VASER liposuction in combination with ThermiRF are best for contouring the chin in those who are candidates. I recommend getting a formal evaluation with a facial sculpting expert. Best, Dr. Emer

Thank you for your question. Sorry to hear about your results. Without an exam or at least some pictures for reference, it is impossible to answer this question. The line could be protrusion of the underlying platysma muscle that is now visible since the fat is reduced. But it is hard to say....
