i am not sure where you are getting your information from. it should last years and maybe longer.david berman md
I'm not certain why you asked the question about Cellulaze only working for a year because that is not the case. Once the fibrous bands are lysed with the laser, they will regrow, but the orientation changes from perpendicular to diagonal. Why that happens is debatable, but it happens nevertheless and it is permanent. Once the fibers grow back in that direction, the dimpling does not return. Furthermore, the fat cells that were destroyed with the use of the laser, will not return either. In essence, the changes brought about as the result of undergoing Cellulaze are permanent or should be. There mat be slight residuals in a minor percentage of cases, but the fat removed and the fibers lysed will cease to be an issue. I would recommend reviewing the information that led you to think that Cellulaze is not permanent. The only residuals that will remain after Cellulaze would be from an area not being completely treated. Unfortunately, it is difficult to completely treat an area and it is not uncommon to have minor residuals of cellulite. I hope this answer helps.Dr. Knott
