I am not sure where you are getting this information about Cellulaze from. I have preformed hundreds of Cellulaze laser surgery since 2011 and I did not see recurrence of cellulite in all the cases I have done. The Cellulaze laser results should last many years. Also, patient selection and manging expectations are very important like in any other cosmetic treatment.Cellulaze not only works by dividing bands between the skin and deeper tissues but simultaneously builds collagen. Significant results of cellulite reduction are typically noticed by 6-9 months because this is the amount of time required for stimulation to build new collagen and the cellulite septal structure should not build back again after Cellulaze laser surgery. A combination approach is needed for long term improvement for cellulite. All treatment results for cellulite depend on the skill, expertise and techniques used. The best treatment for cellulite is Cellfina. I recommend Cellfina in combination with Sculptra, and body treatments like Exilis Ultra/Venus Legacy, Cellutone/z wave. A VASER HI DEF procedure can be done for more contouring. See an expert for a formal evaluation. Best, Dr. Emer.
Cellulaze not only works by dividing bands between the skin and deeper tissues but simultaneously builds collagen. Results are typically noticed by six months because this is the amount of time required for stimulation to build new collagen. The duration of this new collagen growth is determined by various factors including, age, nutrition and genetics. There is not one treatment effective for all degrees of cellulite. Cellulaze has been proven to be as effective as any other one session treatment. Often patients will benefit from fat injection to the thighs and buttocks in addition or instead of non surgical treatments. Please consult with an experienced Board Certified Plastic Surgeon in person prior to making treatment decisions.
i am not sure where you are getting your information from. it should last years and maybe longer.david berman md
I'm not certain why you asked the question about Cellulaze only working for a year because that is not the case. Once the fibrous bands are lysed with the laser, they will regrow, but the orientation changes from perpendicular to diagonal. Why that happens is debatable, but it happens nevertheless and it is permanent. Once the fibers grow back in that direction, the dimpling does not return. Furthermore, the fat cells that were destroyed with the use of the laser, will not return either. In essence, the changes brought about as the result of undergoing Cellulaze are permanent or should be. There mat be slight residuals in a minor percentage of cases, but the fat removed and the fibers lysed will cease to be an issue. I would recommend reviewing the information that led you to think that Cellulaze is not permanent. The only residuals that will remain after Cellulaze would be from an area not being completely treated. Unfortunately, it is difficult to completely treat an area and it is not uncommon to have minor residuals of cellulite. I hope this answer helps.Dr. Knott
