I had my rhinoplasty 7 months ago, I know there might still be swelling but my problem is with the nostrils of the nose. One is higher and larger than the other, from the front it looks very asymmetric. I know that nobody’s perfectly symmetric but I would like to know if there’s anything I can do to make it look better? And not so visible to everyone. Thanks for helping!

Answer: Nostril asymmetry Dear Juliet - you are right it is early days and you will not know the final result until about a year has passed. Your nostrils may be more symmetric then. If not you can consider a composite graft to the inside of the left nostril to push the nostril rim down. Your nasal tip looks just a little twisted. This is difficult to correct but if possible might bring the left nostril more into alignment with the right. You may have some tip cartilage position asymmetry too - it is unlikely that this can be fully corrected. This surgery would be complex and probably would carry a bit too much risk for you. Good luck.

Answer: Nostril Asymmetry A base view of your nose would be helpful but a small alar rim cartilage graft can be placed to lower your elevated nostril rim.
