Can someone use benzoyl peroxide after a beard transplant to help heal acne? Can I go on accutane 3 months post op?

I got a hair transplant 3 weeks ago and I have really bad breakouts because of that, I have always used BP as acne treatment and I want to get back on it, does it do anything bad to the grafts? I went to see a dermatologist and she prescribe that or accutane after three months of the surgery.

If you have acne see your doctor if you are concerned about your beard hair transplant.  Accutane may cause hair loss and impaired wound healing.  You need to discuss these issues with your doctor.

Benzoil Peroxide can help you control the breakout but it may discolor your hair. I would follow the recommendations of your dermatologist, or ask your hair transplant surgeon who performed your surgery.

This is something that is not advisable as you must wait 9 months after a hair transplant before taking acne medications. The hair transplants can be damaged at this stage of its hair growth with acne medications

I would say that it is early to start using BP - I would prefer to wait 3 months post-OP. I would not use accutane. Your option might be cleocin-t solution for the moment.

It is best to wait to use the BP because it may damage the grafts.  You can start using BP after three months. Accutane may cause increased hair loss, therefore you need to check with your doctor before using starting to use it.
