I had breast augmentation in 2017 and developed capsular contraction in my left breast. I had it repaired and a full lift done on both breasts in 2023 unfortunately about seven months after the surgery, the capsule contraction in my left breast came back. I was OK leaving it since the shape hadn’t changed much. It was just a little harder.. unfortunately I developed a breast infection in the breast and had to remove my implant a few weeks ago. I now need to decide if I should remove my implants or replace the left implant again with 50% chance return of th capsualar contraction. wondering if there is a way to have more volume in the upper pole of my breast without replacing the implant and possibly just doing a fat transfer. My doctor does not recommend this since it can result in uneven breast and require multiple procedures. Also was wondering if there are any other recommendations for patients such as myself with high risk of capsule contraction in order to get more upper volume without implants. I asked about the possibility of using smaller saline implants.saline implants however, my doctor didn’t feel like this was a good option for me either. wanted to get opinions to see if there were others in my situation that had successful results using either fat transfer or smaller implants placed differently to avoid the return of capsule contraction..
