I had a tt and lipo in the DR, I was doing great until the drain came out. I had a lot of skin and fat removed and was still draining 50 to 75ml a day on day 33. My doc said I could take it out because my skins was growing around my drain hole. Now I have fluid all over my tummy. The too and bottom. There is now pain. I don't know of my primary doc will help and I will have to come out of pocket. More importantly I don't want to get an infection. Will my body absorb the fluid.

Answer: Medical Tourism and complications Thank you for your question. This does appear to be a seroma based on the photos, but it is hard to tell without an in person exam. You will likely need it drained. I would recommend trying to find a board certified plastic surgeon who would treat you. Unfortunately this is the downside of medical tourism. If nothing goes wrong, you may have gotten a deal. But if the surgeon is not a board certified plastic surgeon, you do not know their training and credentialing, and if there is a complication the costs may add up since you have to find a surgeon close to you to help deal with them. All the best,
