Is fascia for rhinoplasty safe & more natural & what are the complications?

Hi I am planning on getting a bulbous nose reduction with defatting. The doctor recommend me to put silicone since in korea, it is common to put silicone but I don't want any implants since I want my nose to look natural. The doctor however said, my nose will look flat and not as good without silicone but instead, he recommend me to get human fascia if I dont want silicone. Or cow dermis. I am hesitant about the cow dermis but is human fascia for the nose safe? Can move around is it better than silicone and more natural? And what are the complication

Hello there! In diced cartilage grafting with fascia (DCF), small pieces of cartilage taken from the patient are diced and wrapped in a layer of fascia, a type of fibrous tissue, before being inserted into the nose. The fascia acts as a support structure for the cartilage bits, keeping them stable and making it easier to shape them. This results in a more naturally contoured and smoother nose. Compared to using solid pieces of rib cartilage or silicone implants, the DCF approach has a lower risk of shape distortion, warping, movement, and artificial-looking outcomes. Implants made of foreign materials also come with an increased risk of infection and other complications. Based on my experience with various techniques, I firmly believe that DCF is the most effective for enhancing the nasal bridge in ethnic rhinoplasty cases, both in the short and long term. DCF (Diced cartilage fascia) provides permanent results without the risk of warping or resorption of en bloc rib cartilage, and with a much lower rate of migration, infection, or extrusion than synthetic grafts. With a rhinoplasty surgeon experienced in this technique, diced cartilage wrapped in fascia from your own body is a consistent, reliable, long-lasting technique for creating dorsal augmentation with excellent results. Results are very surgeon dependent, so choosing the right surgeon is important. In the hands of a rhinoplasty expert surgeon, fascia is safe and effective.  I would recommend your own fascia which is easily harvested from your temple during your rhinoplasty surgery.  Choose your surgeon most carefully.  Good luck and be well.
