After rhinoplasty, my patients are allowed to return to light activity within a few days, and can resume full activity (including exercise) within 3-4 weeks. To ensure that your nose will continue to heal properly, it should not experience significant blunt trauma for at least 3-4 months, so be very careful. Riding the horse 3-4 weeks post-op should be fine. I might suggest holding off on the trotting, cantering and jumping for 6 weeks or so due to the possible jarring of the nose. To e safe, please confirm with your plastic surgeon for his or her specific instructions post rhinoplasty.
