Calves liposuction dangers? (photos)

There are many plastic surgeons who are apprehensive about liposuction below the knee.My practice is entirely devoted to body contouring using various forms of liposuction and fat transfer.I have seen very high patient satisfaction with a few complications performing liposuction below the knees.It's true patients may have some prolonged swelling though it is usually no more than an inconvenience and rarely lasts more than a few months.Are young healthy person would a modest amount of fat should do very well with this procedure.An obese elderly patient who is prone to swelling in the first place will not do so well. I have performed calf liposuction on selected patients over the last 2 decades and have had very satisfactory to excellent results consistently. I find the results of it to be quite worthwhile for properly selected patients and have not seen any complications at all. Complications however occur rarely with any procedure and so it's only fair to say that surgery is simply not risk-free. If you are a good candidate for liposuction of your lower calves and you are anxious to obtain improvement in your contour I would tell you to think about going ahead.Perhaps it would be worthwhile for you to meet with an ABPS board-certified plastic surgeon or well trained plastic surgeon close to your home to get a 2nd opinion. When you've heard 2 opinions you can decide whether you wish to go ahead.
