While on Co-amoxyclav 1000 can I have Botox?

I have an finger wound after stitches, have only taken one tablet of antibiotics should I stop until after my botox or is the risk of infection to my finger to big?

Yes, you can have Botox while on this antibiotic. Keep in mind, it will take 1-2 weeks for final results with Botox. Best, Dr. Emer

hi. It is safe to have botox whilst on antibiotics. You dont need to stop them. RegardsDamien

There is no issue with taking amox-clav or other oral antibiotics while getting Botox or filler treatments.

Thank you for your question Hanneke1. Botox is a purified protein used to address wrinkles associated with
facial expression. Certain antibiotics such as aminoglycosides can potentiate the effects of Botox. Bactrim (amoxycylin/clavulanate) is not in this category. If I had a patient taking Bactrim who wanted a Botox treatment I would say it is not a contraindication. Please consult with a doctor for specific recommendations. Good luck!
