I have an finger wound after stitches, have only taken one tablet of antibiotics should I stop until after my botox or is the risk of infection to my finger to big?

Answer: Botox while on Bactrim Thank you for your question Hanneke1. Botox is a purified protein used to address wrinkles associated with facial expression. Certain antibiotics such as aminoglycosides can potentiate the effects of Botox. Bactrim (amoxycylin/clavulanate) is not in this category. If I had a patient taking Bactrim who wanted a Botox treatment I would say it is not a contraindication. Please consult with a doctor for specific recommendations. Good luck!
