Remember that Botox will relax whatever muscle it is injected into. All muscles have an opposing muscle. So if you want an area to go up, inject the muscle that pulls the area down. In your particular question, I would recommend injecting the Botox into the muscle just under the eyebrow, all the way to the inner corner. This must be done judiciously or you may get a temporary droop of the upper eyelid. Make sure that you are going to see Board-certified providers with a lot of experience in this area for best results. *Opinions stated here are only opinions. The FDA approved 11 line treatment with FDA approved crows feet treatment can weaken the brow depressors enough in some patients produce a brow lift effect. That does not always happen because the botulinum toxin used to make the 11 line treatment can drift upward to weaken the central brow resulting in weakness and central brow droops. That is the cause of the Mephisto or vulcan forehead: compensatory lateral brow recruitment. Not so good. Most cosmetic botulinum toxin forehead treatments do not just use the FDA approved areas but also include treatment across the forehead. This also weakens the muscles of the forehead and produces that stone cold frozen forehead that most everyone wants to avoid. Study my patented Microdroplet Lift. It is treatment technique that precisely injects botulinum toxin is very tiny droplets along the eyebrow, crows feet and 11 line area. The dose applied is typically 33 or 50 units of Botox or Xeomin. Dysport is dosed differently than these. By precisely delivering this treatment and leaving the forehead untreated, the muscles at the eyebrow that function to pull the brow down are selectively weakened. This reduces the work that the forehead needs to do. The treatment directly softens the resting brow pinch, the forehead lines diminish because this muscle does not need to work as hard against the brow depressing muscles. There is a mild elevation of the brow, improvement of the brow pinch including the 11 lines, smoothing of the forehead with no brow freeze.
This is difficult to answer without pictures. Usually injections are made to the glabella to lift the brow. I recommend getting a formal evaluation with a cosmetic dermatologist. Best, Dr. Emer
Sorry to hear that your injections have been frustrating. It's important to realize that Botox weakens muscles, so unless the injected muscle is one that actively pulls the brow downward, it may be difficult to get any true brow elevation with these injections. However, the corrugator and procerus muscles (the ones that create the 11s between the brows) while mostly pulling the brows together do create some minor downward movement as well. Injecting these muscles will most assuredly soften the lines between the brows but also may result in some mild medial brow elevation that you are describing. Just make sure you don't expect a dramatic lift because that is unlikely. Good luck.
hi, injecting Botox at the corrugator (muscle towards the head of the brow) allows the muscle to relax and elongate, and nicely lifts the brows. Depending on the thickness of the muscle, more or less Botox units may be needed to achieve this subtle lift. Visit a plastic surgeon, dermatologist, or oculoplastic surgeon - someone who knows the anatomy well and can obtain the best results for you!
Thank you for your question. The most common area treated to lift the brows is the corrugator and procerus muscles, which is known as the glabella. When the forehead is injected it can prevent the brows from lifting up and can sometimes cause a droopy eye. In order to get the inner corner of your eyes slightly lifted, I recommend having your glabella injected. Please remember to always see expert injector. Best of Luck!
A muscle complex that includes the corrugators and procerus muscles work together to depress and bring your brows together. Injecting botox into this complex will produce the opposite effect. Good luck!
Thanks for your question and we always recommend that you have an in-office consultation with a board certified dermatologist or plastic surgeon as we are the true experts in the anatomy of the area and also in the toxins. With a proper evaluation and knowing what your goals are, this should not be that difficult a problem for us to handle.
Thank you for your question Q in Co. Botox is a purified protein used to address wrinkles associated withfacial expression. Botox relaxes muscles. So to lift the inner brows one must use Botox to relax the muscles that pull down on the inner brows. These are located in the glabella, between the brows. Please consult with a doctor for specific recommendations. Good luck!
In order to get the optimal lift of the inner corners or medial brows, Botox should be injected into the muscles that pull the brow down and together (inferiorly and medially). These depressor muscles are known as the corrugators and procerus muscles. When injected properly, these muscles cannot pull down and inwards, allowing the forehead muscle to lift and open the brows. If too much Botox is injected, and the frontalis or forehead muscle becomes affected and cannot lift or elevate the brow, one is left with a heavy or depressed medial brow. It is imperative that you see an experienced dermatologist, plastic surgeon or oculoplastic physician who understands this concept for optimal placement of Botox otherwise you will end up with an undesirable result. Hope this helps!
Thank you for your question Alan2248. I am sorry to hear about your situation. Botox is a purified protein used to address wrinkles associated with facial expression. Unfortunately Botox is not indicated for excessive tearing. Please consult with a doctor for specific recommendations. Good luck!

Thank you for your question. Dysport, Botox and Xeomin are all botulinum toxin A. The only difference is Xeomin has no extraneous proteins but if one doesn't work it is most likely the technique and not the toxin. Although it is very rare, it is possible to become resistant to a particular brand...
