Kybella induces fat cell death, and new fat cells don't tend to grow in the place of the treated cells. Although the residual living fat cells can each absorb more fat, this clinically does not seem to happen unless someone were to gain excessive weight. Kybella hasn't been on the market as long as we have been doing neck liposuction, but the procedures can be thought of as having the same long term duration of results. In more than two decades of performing neck liposuction in my NYC practice I am not aware of my patients having noted their fat to return in the neck. The information provided in Dr. Shelton's answer is for educational purposes only and is not intended to constitute medical advice. Hello,Thank you for your question. Kybella permanently reduces fat. You may need more than one treatment to attain the desired result, however once the fat is treated, it is permanently gone. Good luck!
The medication permanently lysis the fat cells which live under your skin and above the platysma muscle. As long as you maintain your weight, then the results are permanent. This is the only FDA approved injectable for fat removal under the chin and it is safe.Best wishes, Dr. ALDO
The great thing about Kybella is that it is a fat melter. Because of this, it takes the fat cells and destroys them. Unless you have a significant weight gain your results should last quite some time. In fact, we are doing a long term follow up study that has been very positive so far!Good luck!
The Kybella results are long lasting. The results will last until you gain weight or your body created new bulges of submental fat. It truly is a great treatment. It is important to choose experienced provider to avoid complications and minimize risk of side effects.
Thank you foryour question DIna46860. Kybella isthe first and thus-far only FDA-approved non-surgical injectable treatment forthe double chin. One of the best things about Kybella is that, unlike other treatments such as Botox, maintenance treatments are not necessary. This is because once the fat cells are eliminated by the body, the area is no longer able to store or accumulate fat. A series of 2-4 treatments is required, sometimes up to 6 treatment. I treat my patients every 3 months. Results are seen slowly over time. Patience is important. Pleaseconsult with a doctor for specific recommendations. Good luck!
Once the Kybella dissolves the fat cells, those cells are gone for good. So, the results from Kybella are permanent. However, at a certain point, the skin will begin to sag. But that is a different issue...
Thank you for your question. Typically with Kybella patients need 3-4 rounds of injections, each one month apart. However, I recommend getting a in person consultation with a board-certified dermatologist.
Kybella results are long lasting. The results last permanently unless patient gains weight. It truly is a great and remarkable treatment that lasts 15 minutes and yields a lifetime of satisfaction. It is important to choose experienced provider to avoid complications and minimize risk of side effects. Good luck!
Thank you for your question. Since the body cannot make new fat cells the fat is gone forever. When choosing a doctor, look for someone that is board certified. An office that has multiple choices in removing fat under chin will be able to access your particular issue.
You look much better than you think you do! You have just a slight amount of submental fat that could be improved with Kybella. I doubt you would need more than two treatments, I sometimes put a little Kybella in the jowls to also contour the lower face. To help lift your jowls and make your ...
While you do have some submental fat, it is subtle and perhaps the CoolMini applicator could not work with your contours. Both Kybella and CoolSculpting usually need at least two to three sessions before your optimal results are visible. Kybella can treat smaller areas than CoolSculpting, so you...
Yes, you can still have Kybella treatments. Be sure you are seeing an experienced injector. Best of luck to you!
Kybella is associated with the generation of inflammation as part of the removal of fat. Its claim this can actually tighten skin although I doubt it. Nevertheless, if the skin is in good condition in the fat is not excessive the treatment should do well.
They are not the same. Kybella comes in a 2ml vial; we inject Kybella with 1ml syringes. If you received 4 syringes, that probably means that you received 2 vials of Kybella for your first treatment. For Kybella treatment of submental fullness, the average number vials for the first treatment is...
