Answer: Medicaid Medicaid is for NECESSARY procedures, only. Why should the US taxpayers pay for you to have a cosmetic procedure? Additionally, liposuction is NOT a weight loss procedure, and not a substitute for good nutrition. You didn't get to 197lbs overnight, you won't get to 100lbs overnight! Eat right and exercise to enhance the result of the weight loss.Best.

Answer: Liposuction coverage by medical plans This is a very important question and, personally, I think that some liposuction procedures should be covered and the benefit that they provide is much more than just cosmetic. At the same time, I do not think that medical plans cover these procedures.

Answer: Can Medicaid cover Liposuction for me? I want my hips, thighs, back, stomach, and butt done Thank you for your question and I am sorry that your weight loss has been difficult. Unfortunately insurance companies deem liposuction as not "medically necessary" and will not cover the cost of surgery for weight reduction surgery. Additionally liposuction that is done as a means of weight loss has been shown to not be effective in the long run for patients. Talk to your family doctor about your non-surgical and surgical options at weight reduction, they are their to try and help you. Best wishes.

Answer: Liposuction Liposuction is a tool for shaping, not for weight loss.Medicaid is a government program paid for by tax payers to help people with medical problems when they do not have the money to pay for it themselves. You problem is not an indication for liposuction, and it is not paid for with other peoples money, as it is considered a cosmetic procedure. If you need to lose weight, talk to your physician about a gastric bypass.
